The role has come to fruition due to the growth of the department and will be reporting into the head of Management Accounts on a day to day basis.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide crucial financial insights into the financial performance of the organisation, income and expenditure reporting along with strategic decision support. You will be working closely with the widder finance team, senior management and key internal stakeholders to ensure financial stability and sustainability.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial models to support financial planning and analysis.
Work with key internal stakeholders in providing robust financial information that will aid sound and insightful decision support.
Monitor, analyse and report on financial performance against forecasts flagging areas of concern/over/under performance.
Preparation of management accounts for specific business areas and distribute/communicate with stakeholders to explain the numbers.
Review cost controls and identify cost saving opportunities.

The Requirements
We are seeking applications from part qualified (actively studying), or newly qualified accountants. This role is an outwardly facing business partnering opportunity which requires exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written form. We would expect candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience gained within the UK. The role holder can expect to be busy and challenged but rewarded generously at the same time. Systems wise we are looking for candidates who have advanced Excel abilities and who has used ERP systems extensively.

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office. If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
