Accounts Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity with a renowned management and production agency seeking to expand its dynamic team!Join one of the world's leading literary and talent agencies, representing a diverse array of creative talent, including authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors, and theatre stars across the globe.This role requires a minimum of one year's experience working within a finance team, preferably within the media industry, and a keen interest in film, theatre, or TV.Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process payments using our specialized payments system.
• Generate VAT invoices on behalf of our esteemed clients.
• Manage mail distribution, including taking cheques to the bank.
• Conduct credit control activities to ensure timely payments.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in received payments.
• Collaborate with agents and other team members to address payment queries and provide client information.
• Handle client inquiries regarding tax, VAT, paperwork, and outstanding payments professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including updating Excel Cashbook entries.
• Provide financial analysis support as required.
• Undertake additional administrative duties as needed.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance departmental efficiency.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum of one year's experience working within a finance department, ideally within the media industry.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn quickly and ask questions when needed.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
• Genuine interest in film, theatre, or TV.
