Job description

Commercial Analysts are multi skilled financial specialists who are able to quickly understand how a business or department functions and analyse performance with the aim of identifying risks and proposing improvements in order to improve profitability.

Duties include:

Working closely with and providing ongoing support to non financial managers in departments such as sales and marketing.
Providing the information and related analysis and opinion to support and influence key decision making regarding future strategy.
Sales and margin analysis.
Taking ownership of budgeting and forecasting.
Variance reporting and analysis.
Profit and loss accounting.
Cost reporting and analysis.
Identifying risk and suggesting areas for improvement.
Managing change to systems and processes.

Qualifications

Most Commercial Analyst roles call for qualified and/or chartered accountants with excellent commercial and business acumen as well as relevant commercial experience.
