Financial Reporting Accountant

A Financial Reporting Accountant is sought by one of the UK's fastest-growing Insurtech businesses. Established 20 years ago, my client builds their own technology to harness their cutting-edge data ability to deliver a best-in-class experience for customers and employees alike.

With revenues already upwards of c. 150m and continued growth projected in the coming years, this exciting role offers significant routes for progression and long-term development.

Financial Reporting Accountant Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Calculate and post monthly journals, ensuring timely and precise balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly management accounts and financial reports, delivering key insights for stakeholders.
• Shareholder Communication: Collaborate in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for shareholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• VAT Compliance: Oversee quarterly VAT returns, submissions to HMRC, and annual adjustments for partial-rated VAT percentages. Handle ad-hoc VAT queries with confidence.
• Audit Leadership: Lead audit-related workstreams, responding to queries for internal and external audits (including SOX and tax) while embedding and enhancing financial controls.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of two in Accounts Payable, fostering growth and ensuring smooth operations.

Candidates for the Financial Reporting Accountant will be:

• ACA Qualified Accountant.
• Practice-trained from Big 4 or Top 10.
• Have IFRS knowledge; US GAAP knowledge is desirable.

Salary & Package:

• 60,000 - 65,000.
