Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager/Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and be the first internal hire in finance, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide insights that drive financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial management principles, and the ability to lead and grow a finance team effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting : Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget; provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cash Flow Management : Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs while maximizing returns on investments.
  • Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and revenue enhancement.
  • Internal Controls : Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with policies.
  • Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor the finance team as it grow, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Compliance : Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax compliance and audits.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to drive decision-making.
  • Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience : Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle); advanced Excel skills. Experience of Xero advantageous.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Leadership : Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop team members.
