25 per hour (umbrella)

Part Time Contract (3 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Interim VAT Accountant in Pontypool. This is a contract with a scope for extension working part time hours.

The job:

• To manage and ensure that the proper administration of the organisation's VAT obligations takes place in accordance with statutory legislation and HMRC Regulations, including the completion of the required VAT returns
• Continuing to develop processes and procedures to ensure that all required aspects of HMRC Making Tax Digital requirements are implemented and are efficient in operation.
• To be responsible for the maintenance and development of comprehensive VAT guidance manuals.
• To provide VAT advice and support on issues that arise on an ad-hoc basis

The candidate:

• Qualified Accountant
• Experience working in a similar role for a local authority is essential
• 5 years practical experience in finance is desirable
