Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: On-site in Immingham
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, depending on your preference)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our client s team. As leaders in the logistics sector with over 50 years of success, they are known for their commitment to excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate will have at least a Level 2 AAT qualification and be eager to pursue further qualifications, with support from the business. This role involves various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Banking & Reconciliation: Allocate payments and receipts, complete cash book entries, and reconcile bank balances to Sage.
• Invoice Management: Process and distribute purchase invoices, manage customs invoicing, and oversee supplier payments.
• Freight & Recharge Invoicing: Handle freight forwarding invoices and manage recharge invoicing.
• Expense Tracking: Process employee expense reports and ensure accurate reimbursement records.
• Budget Assistance: Support budget tracking and assist in preparing monthly financial reports for management review.
• General Support: Order office supplies, arrange for maintenance services, and manage fire safety checks.
• Reports & Statements: Reconcile supplier statements and maintain truck P&L spreadsheets.

Requirements:

• Level 2 AAT qualification (or equivalent), with ambition to pursue further qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ideally Sage 50.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
