Description:

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join a leading fashion business as CFO. I am seeking someone experienced in the retail /fashion sector. You will be part of a hugely respected and admired global organisation. As a key member of the executive team, you will provides leadership in financial strategy, operations, and compliance to ensure long-term growth and profitability. You will have also worked for businesses of £50million + turnover at a senior level.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team to drive business performance.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other growth opportunities.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements by GAAP/IFRS.
  • Managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Direct the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to forecast revenue, expenses, and capital needs.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against the budget and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, overseeing all corporate tax planning and filings.
  • Monitor and manage the company's investment portfolios and evaluate returns.
  • Support the professional development of the finance team, providing guidance and career growth opportunities.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • Experienced in the fashion / retail sector
  • Minimum 10+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a senior finance role (CFO, VP of Finance, etc.).
  • Proven experience managing financial operations in a £50+ million business
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and investor relations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with financial management software (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, QuickBooks).
