Senior Financial Accountant - Year End

Role - Senior Corporate Accountant (Closedown)
Duration - 3-6 Months rolling
Rate - Negotiable Per/Day DOE
Location - London

G2 are working on behalf of a local authority client based in London who are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team for the next 3-6 months on a rolling basis.

The role will be to support and assist their Chief Accountant with the preparation of the statement of accounts and all closedown related duties for 2024/2025.

You will be required to manage 2 members of staff and mentor them directly which will involve all areas of Corporate Finance such as closedown, grants and leases.

Job Requirements:

- You will need to be a Fully Qualified Accountant.
- Recent local authority experience within a closedown/year end based role.
- Strong knowledge around Corporate Finance and IFRS Implementation.
- Collection Fund experience is ideal but not essential.
- Previous line management or mentoring experience is essential.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours given the nature of the role.
