Accountant

SmartPro are thrilled to present this Accountant role with a leading manufacturer in the Port Talbot area. The Accountant will execute the general ledger activities on the system in order to guarantee that company accounting information and practices are accurately reflected. This role is a good opportunity for a graduate or someone with little experience looking to advance their career as an Accountant.

Hours will be 8:30-16:30 (Monday-Friday) on site.

Responsiblities of the Accountant:

• Manage and reconcile the general and subledger accounts.
• Prepares the monthly payment proposal.
• Prepare and posts journal entries into Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Contributes on respecting the timely preparation and reporting of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to local and reporting GAAP as well as internal procedures.
• Prepare internal reconciliation reports.
• Support the Line Manager in the drafting of the transfer pricing documentation.
• Assists the line manager in the preparation of the required documentation such as Notes and Management Report for the periodical Financial Statements.

The Ideal Candidate must have the following:

• A Finance degree, AAT qualification or equivalent
• Proficient at using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to prioritise and problem solve

Candidates who have the following will be at an advantage:

• Experience of using SAP systems
• Previous experience in manufacturing industry
• International business knowledge
