Assistant Accountant

I am delighted to be supporting a local business with a 6 month fixed term Assistant Accountant role. This is an immediate start position suited to someone who has prior experience in finance and who is available on short notice.

My client is based in Nottingham, commutable from wider Nottinghamshire and parts of Derbyshire. This is a flexible, hybrid opportunity and the candidate can expect to be joining a reputable, established business.

Description

The Assistant Accountant will report into the Finance Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supporting with a wide range of financial duties including delivery accurate accounting and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting with Financial Reporting
• Produce accurate reports
• Any ad hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have demonstrated experience working in a similar finance role
• Have a good understanding of general ledger accounting
• Be level 3 AAT qualified (or equivalent work experience)
• Be available on short notice
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Have strong excel skills

Job Offer

The successful candidate can expect a starting salary of 27,500 + a 6 month contract + 3 days home working + 35 days annual leave + other benefits
