Accounts Assistant, PermanentGillingham, Kent Hours Full-time - 37.5 hours per week £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Your new Company My client, that delivers integrated site investigation and other services across the UK, are seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis to join their transactional finance team in Gillingham.
Your new role Responsibilities and Activities: • Raising the following in the Finance System Evision. - New Project details - Contract Sales Orders - Application for Payments - Contract Sales Invoices - Purchase Orders - Purchase Invoices and checking their validity against the Purchase Order - Credit notes
• Creating new Customers and Vendors in the Finance System • Running debtor reporting • Bank reconciliations • Processing Credit Card expenses and ensuring all relevant receipts have been provided • Preparing and issuing statements as necessary • Maintaining credit control operations in collaboration with colleagues as appropriate to ensure swift resolution of any required actions • Reconciliation of supplier statements • Running a VAT return • Running a Supplier payment run • Respond to time-critical emails and actions from clients or colleagues in good time • Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Financial Controller, Group Transactional Manager or CFO to support Finance, HR, and/or Operational staff
What you'll need to succeed Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Essential - A good understanding of Sale Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Credit Control - Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Teams - Good organisation, with efficient attention to detail - Communication skills with both internal colleagues and external suppliers - Time management with the inclusion of working to tight deadlines. - Adaptability and flexibility to work within a fast-paced environment. - Qualified by experience and or qualification higher than secondary education
Desirable - Understanding of the industry in which the Group operates - Experience within a Finance department - Industry experience
