Management accountant Part qualified ACA ACCA AAT Winchester accountancy practice
You will be working for a growing Top 50 accountancy and tax advisory practice in Winchester with specialist expertise in the farming and agricultural sector, landed estates and private client spaces providing expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals.
This is a brand-new role that has been created to manage the financial reporting, management accounts preparation and day-to-day financial operations of several companies within the Group. Your duties will include record and post the day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments; prepare and file VAT returns; reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts and other financial accounts; supporting with budgeting and forecasting; identify, investigate and resolve any account discrepancies; manage the accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, preparing payments and maintaining supplier records; balance sheet management and reconciliation; produce draft financial statements, including trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet.
It is likely that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' UK experience in either practice or industry, and are part way through studying towards ACCA or ACA or, at least AAT qualified. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and pride in meeting targets and strong attention to detail and organisation skills. A full driving licence with the ability to spend some days in other locations would be key. You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, along with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team.
