Location: Derby, Hybrid
Salary: £25 30k

An accountant role working for a well-established independent accountancy
firm based in Derby.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is

• AAT qualified and working towards their ACCA/ACA qualification

OR

• someone who is nearing completion of their AAT.

Accountant must have:

• A minimum of 5/10 years in UK Accountancy Practice experience is required.

• Good knowledge of accounting software would also be preferable.

• The work will be predominantly property related and the ideal candidate will be working with Landlords, developers, builders and letting agents.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Statutory Accounts for small and mid-sized companies.

• Reconciliation of statements

• Reconciling redemption, remortgaging, and purchases of properties

• General Bookkeeping duties for clients.

• Management of VAT and capital allowances

Accountant Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 5/10 years experience in UK Accountancy Practice.

• AAT qualified or late stage AAT and progressing with ACCA or ACA qualification.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Experience with software packages such as; Iris, Xero, Dext & Bright accountancy Manager Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work autonomously. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Candidate must be living local to Derby city centre.
