Senior Accountant

Our client is a well established accountancy practice currently based in Caddington and they will be moving to new larger offices in St Albans in the next 6 months. Due to continued expansion they are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Managing Partner on practice development initiatives
• Manage client relationships
• Drive practice efficiency and workflow optimisation
• Lead and develop both administrative staff and accountants
• Monitor and manage WIP, including regular partner meetings
• Monitor and improve practice KPIs
• Review and approve timesheets and resource allocation
• Oversee monthly billing processes
• Ensure effective job progression through all stages
• Support recruitment and staff development initiatives

Essential Experience

• Demonstrable experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Demonstrated success in team leadership and development
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
