Tax Junior

As the Tax Junior your principal task is simple, to assist the Tax Manager with all tax related matters. The preparation of tax returns, collecting tax information, inputting data into tax software, submitting returns helping to ensure compliance with tax requirements and avoiding penalties.

Your new role (Tax Junior)

The key responsibilities of the Tax Junior are to:

• File tax returns (personal and corporate)
• Prepare basic tax returns with support from the Tax Manager
• Assisting with simple client queries
• Calculating payments on account
• Preparing basic Director only payrolls

This role reports into the Tax Manager, so you will see the nuts and bolts of a commercial tax team in a naturally challenging but rewarding environment.

Please note - as a Tax Junior you will be office based for five days p.w. with travel across the County and the UK to support the tax affairs of clients.

Skills and experience to be successful

• Attention to detail
• Data accuracy
• Accounting or finance background
• Basic knowledge of tax in the UK
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working outside of your comfort zone

The Interview Process

• TEAMS interview with the hiring manager + 1 key stakeholder.
• 60 min face to face meeting with the hiring manager + 1 key stakeholder.
