Interim Financial Controller

The Financial Controller role will oversee and monitor the financial accounting function, providing financial reporting to senior leadership teams, overseeing regulatory reporting, financial controls, VAT and tax reporting, internal and external audit process, rent and service charges, asset management, sales and purchase ledger. The Financial Controller will work to improve process, systems, controls, data and culture.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, inspire and motivate the Financial Accounting and Reporting team to create an effective accounting capability which enhances the quality of financial management, reporting and control.
• Lead the agenda to improve and innovate financial accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting directions and standards and compliance requirements.
• Lead and deliver with the Finance Business Partner team robust management accounting, managing financial risk and ensuring financial governance and control is complied with.
• Lead the delivery of financial reporting.

What we are looking for

• Relevant CCAB, ACCA, CIMA qualifications.
• Extensive experience in accounting, VAT and CIS reporting, collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements.
• Direct social housing experience.
