NXTGEN is thrilled to be working closely with a highly regarded Chartered Accountants in Norwich to recruit an Accounts Assistant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and very successful team, where you'll work closely alongside decision-makers and play a key role in delivering high-quality services to a broad portfolio of clients. As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you'll take ownership of client relationships, providing strategic insights and delivering financial expertise. You'll play a key role in developing junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment, while also contributing to recruitment efforts as the team continues to grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a varied client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact for queries and advisory services.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts, offering valuable insights for business decisions.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
  • Assist senior leadership with workflow planning and process improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, with strong technical accounting skills.
  • Confident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and build strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
