Role Summary:

As a Management Accountant (commercial, analytical data handling) at SMART, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial health and decision-making of our business. You will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial information, ensuring accurate insights into our performance and supporting key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership, identifying key trends and insights.
• Provide analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Assist in budgeting processes and cost control initiatives to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to monitor expenditure and provide support with financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support internal and external audits.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects to drive strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in management accounting or a related finance role.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance team members.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.
