Interim Management Accountant

  • 18 month fixed-term contract
  • 40,000- 46,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working, 3 days a week on site in London

About the client
Morgan Law are seeking an interim Management Accountant for a charity in the London area.


Accountabilities

  • To produce the monthly management accounts for assigned departments to deadlines, ensuring that all income and expenditure is correctly accrued according to organisational procedures
  • Monitor, investigate and report on variances against budgets. Proactively working with budget holders in maximising business efficiency
  • To create and maintain databases for monitoring divisional activity and undertake analysis of data
  • To liaise with departments on a regular basis to understand their business and prepare/process forecasts accordingly
  • To take responsibility of the preparation of the annual closedown and producing final year-end accounts for allocated departments
  • To produce budgets for the allocated departments according to budget timetables, ensuring a full understanding of the business
  • To produce relevant and informative management information to support decision making
  • To produce and develop regular performance monitoring reports for management teams
  • To support the production of regular committee reporting on organisational and departmental performance

Candidate Requirements

  • Fully or part-qualified management accountant with experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Very recent experience working for a not for profit organisation/charity/School (E)
  • 4+ years experience at Management Accountant level (E)
  • Good knowledge of Oracle
  • Experience liaising with budget holders
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
