Assistant Accountant

Description

• Assisting the fixed assets team to ensure the smooth and accurate running of the register
• Bank reconciliations and journal posting - closely monitoring journal compliance
• Assisting the team and the wider finance team with month end procedures
• Helping put together reporting at month end around expenditure, depreciation, additions and disposals
• Communicating with key stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Significant prior experience in an assistant accountant role
• Fixed asset experience would be an advantage but not essential
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Any experience using SQL and Power BI would be an advantage but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills

Job Offer

• A competitive annual salary ranging from 25,000 to 30,000
• A 12 month fixed term contract with chance of extension
