Development Underwriter

Our prominent Client in the Commercial Insurance Industry is experiencing significant growth and is launching a major expansion throughout Cambridgeshire.

Already they are impacting the Regional Marketplace and you will be adding to a strong pipeline as you grow and succeed with them. Also you will be supported by a BDM and another Commercial Underwriter.

As an experienced Commercial Underwriter you will be responsible for underwriting Commercial products on a new business basis, developing and maintaining broker relationships and ensuring panel/regional growth.

This is a role that you are able to perform working remotely, from your home. Also you will be regularly travelling to your Brokers' offices.

As Development Underwriter your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing new business pipelines, visiting your Brokers regularly, and underwriting your own caseload
• Leveraging your market expertise, you'll adopt a positive and comprehensive underwriting approach
• Contributing to the identification and acquisition of new business, driving growth in GWP across the Commercial book
• Key contact for handling referrals, strategy and risk appetite

To be a successful Development Underwriter you will demonstrate:

• Strong Commercial underwriting experience
• Excellent relationship building and management skills to enable you to work closely with your Broker partners
• The desire to be successful in a New Business environment
• Confident communicator, able to lead and influence discussions and make decisions with integrity
