Overview Payroll Advisor We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes for a variety of clients and also administering and liaising with clients to ensure all payroll and pension related returns are filed accurately and a timely basis with HMRC and the relevant government bodies. There will also be some Bookkeeping duties
Duties
Process payroll for our clients, around 135 payrolls per month (75 of which are automated) accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Perform data entry tasks related to payroll changes, new hires, terminations, and adjustments.
Utilise accounting software to manage payroll transactions effectively.
Liaise with clients to ensure smooth onboarding processes for new employees regarding payroll setup.
Filing reports with HMRC pension providers and ensuring client payroll compliance requirements are kept up to date.
There will also be some Bookkeeping duties. using VT, SAGE50, Quickbooks and other online based accounting platforms.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong understanding accounting compliance issues regarding payroll and VAT processes and regulations.
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with other team members and clients.
