Finance Officer Duration: 5-Months Temporary role (December 2024 until April/May 2025) Hourly pay: £14.89 plus £1.80 holiday pay - £16.21 plus £1.96 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to annual salary of £27,100 - £29,500 FTE pro-rata, dependent on experience) Hours: Part-time (18 hours per week), with flexible scheduling to suit workload. Location: Hybrid working with the option to work remotely or from the organisation's London office. Equipment will be provided. Start Date: Week commencing 9th December Charity People are delighted to be partnering with the leading membership organisation that supports grant-making organisations across the UK. They are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to provide essential financial support during a period of transition. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices and payables, including coding, approvals in Sage, and managing online banking setups. Record and reconcile bank transactions using Sage and the organisation's CRM system. Reconcile monthly credit card statements and receipts. Generate member and renewal invoices via the CRM system. Monitor bank balances and outgoing expenditure to assist with cashflow management. Collaborate during an initial handover period with the current postholder (9th-20th December). What We're Looking For: Proven experience in finance administration, with particular expertise using Sage. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reconciling financial data. Flexibility to adapt working hours, especially during the initial handover week. A proactive, team-oriented mindset, with strong organisational skills. Why Join?
