Financial Accountant

My client an international services company based in Manchester are looking for a financial accountant for an initial period of six months to join their team due to secondment. The ideal candidate will be immediately available and ready to step into this dynamic role, supporting the overall finance function during a period of transition and development, with a particular focus on financial accounting and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial accounting tasks, including preparation and review of reports, reconciliations, and audits.
• Provide expertise in taxation matters, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
• Support the wider finance team with day-to-day operations, contributing to smooth and efficient processes.
• Play an active role in the ongoing implementation of a Finansys finance system, supporting the team in adopting and embedding this new system.
• Utilise knowledge of financial systems, including Infor SunSystems and Sage 200, to support operations and ensure seamless integration and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and accuracy across financial activities.

Ideal Candidate:

• A well-rounded finance professional with a strong background in financial accounting and taxation.
• Experience with or knowledge of Infor SunSystems, Sage 200, or similar financial platforms is highly desirable.
• Experience with or knowledge of Finansys would be beneficial.
• Immediately available and able to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
• A team player with excellent communication skills, ready to support and contribute to a collaborative working environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
