My client is a Local Authority in SE London who are looking to appoint a talented Finance Manager on a Contract basis

About the role:

Based in London (Hybrid):

The post is to undertake appropriate reconciliations for the Collection Fund and produce the Collection Fund statement within the Statement of Accounts.

What's on offer:

• Salary: 450 - 600 per day, inside IR35.

negotiable based on experience

• Remote/Hybrid working. Contract type: Contract (21.60 hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:30 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

1. Lead on the corporate grants register ensuring accurate grant records that satisfy both statutory accounting and monitoring requirements.
2. To ensure that revenue accounting entries underpinning the Statement of Accounts are produced in a timely manner, are accurate and in accordance with relevant legislative requirements and professional codes of practice and guidelines.
3. To produce the Statement of Accounts, Group Accounts and other related statutory returns.
4. To lead on the provision of financial advice and statutory returns relating to taxation and VAT.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Qualified CCAB Accountant or Equivalent Relevant Finance Qualification.
• A detailed knowledge of the accounting requirements pertaining to capital and revenue expenditure and the key influences on the strategic finances of the authority.
