Underwriter (Broker Business) - 28014

Responsible for trading, underwriting and service activities, the objective of this role is to offer consistent quality service to customers, deliver satisfactory and profitable results for the company, and develop good business relationships with the Company's broker panel.

Key Duties (including but not limited to):

• Develop good business relationships with new and existing brokers.
• Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team. This includes quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).
• Responsible for managing and serving a panel of assigned brokers' accounts.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with Underwriting Authority.
• Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate in insurance (Cert CII).
• Over 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines.
• Good understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory practices and legislation in the industry.
