Assistant Accountant

CMA are working with a well known corporation based in Eastleigh to help them recruit a newly created Assistant Accountant on a full time permanent basis. This role will sit within the FP&A team and support with monthly reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take up a step up from transactional work and develop their skill set. Our client is offering 25 days holiday and scope for development.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Including GL review
• Monitor allocations and recharges
• Data analysis of various financial activities
• Variance analysis to evaluate business performance against KPI's
• Assist with budgeting, reforecasting and trend analysis
• Assisting with audit requirements.

Suitable candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

• CIMA - early stages or an interest to start.
• Enthusiasm and drive.
• Strong excel knowledge including pivot tables and v-look ups.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
