Goldman Sachs' Private Credit team sits on the private side of the Asset Management Division. Private Credit is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms with investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Private Credit originates investments and invests third-party capital across senior secured loans, mezzanine/unsecured debt, preferred equity, and opportunistic credit supporting buyouts led by Private Equity sponsors. The Private Credit team in Europe is a top-tier platform in the European direct lending market and is consistently involved in the largest direct lending transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Leading all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.
  • Driving key work streams in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments.
  • Communicating and defending investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant Investment Committees.
  • Actively monitoring existing investments in the portfolio.
  • Building relationships with sponsors, management teams, and internal GS stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Investment Banking and Private Credit/Direct Lending candidate with 6 to 8 years of experience.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a clear view to form independent judgment.
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses.
  • Proven project leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster and harness relationships with a wide variety of people (internally and externally).
  • French native speaker.
