Accounts Assistant Office-Based - Manchester City Centre £26,000 Working Week: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a leading law firm in the heart of Manchester city centre. Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will assist the finance team with various financial operations, including:
- Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts and payments - Ensuring timely and accurate payments to clients and suppliers - Raising and sending Sales Invoices through CRM (Xero) to partner firms - Conducting monthly client account reconciliations - Identifying and implementing improvements to finance processes - Managing client and office account bank reconciliations on Xero - Regularly updating and monitoring the Ledger on the CRM system (Pro Claim) - Overseeing billing team mailboxes and resolving any related queries - Working with internal and external stakeholders to address payment and invoice issues
Skills & Experience Required: To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A solid understanding of SRA rules - Experience with Proclaim, Xero, and Microsoft Office (desirable but not essential) - Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills - Proficiency in MS Excel - Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively - Experience processing and recording financial transactions in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARS) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - A proactive and adaptable approach, even under pressure - The ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, referrers, and stakeholders - A willingness to stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulatory changes
