Management Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are proud to be recruiting a Management Accountant opportunity with one of the region's most recognisable hospitality and leisure groups.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance and other Finance team members to ensure that reported figures are accurate for external reporting and to inform internal decision-making by the business. Given the broad nature of the role, it's an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of all aspects of finance and engage with non-finance stakeholders.

This role is best suited for someone passionate about progressing with their ACCA or CIMA qualifications and offers a strong study support package to assist with this.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Income & Expenditure Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
• Responsibility for all aspects of accounting for a set of management accounts
• Prepare key information required for monthly management account packs
• Key monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Raising of Invoices
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Responsible for ensuring ledger integrity and implementing controls
• Daily Retail Income postings
• Weekly Ticket Sales postings
• Provide ad hoc support to the purchase ledger function

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ideally AAT qualified (or Level 4 finalist), studying towards qualification or equivalent
• Accounting data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors

This role is initially in the office for 5 days a week with a possibility of hybrid working post-probation.
