Your new role Hays is working with a reputable company in East Bristol who are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger accounts. Main duties of the role include:
Serve as a key contributor during the month-end process
Ensure accurate and timely processing of SAP journals
Perform monthly ledger revaluations
Complete monthly control account and balance reconciliations using Excel
Process monthly prepayment and accrual journals
Upload monthly exchange rates into SAP
Input monthly payroll journals
Investigate and process re-charges between sites
Post various monthly journals and raise invoices as needed
Adhere to internal controls and SOX compliance
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience with SAP
Minimum AAT qualification
Intermediate proficiency in Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with keen attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and organise work effectively over time
Demonstrates flexibility throughout the month to meet key processing and reporting deadlines, especially at month-end and year-end
