This highly regarded professional services firm based in London seeks a Qualified Accountant to run and manage its Finance and Administration function. Reporting to the Management board, duties will include:
Review and evaluate the Firm's accounting systems, processes and controls and recommend improvements
Managing production of Practice accounts, annual budget, cash flow, performance statistics, work in progress control and bad debt provision
Prepare statutory accounts for 3 companies and arrange and co-ordinate audit as required
Manage end of quarter billing process and report to partners
Preparing papers and financial reports for the Board including: profit sharing, distributions, calculation of reserves
Maintain Treasury function to optimise interest return and liaise with bank contacts
Manage credit control function, debtor collection and fee disputes
Manage financial aspects relating to retired Partners
Direct line responsibility for the performance of the practice accounting staff and credit control staff
Contractual matters, including insurance, professional indemnity insurance and equipment hire or finance agreements.
Manage relationship with outsourced IT provider and maintenance company
Responsible for the Firm's Health & Safety ensuring that all legal obligations met
