Financial Accountant

We are recruiting a Financial Accountant for a PE-backed business in the Fylde Coast. This is a newly created role due to growth and acquisition and will report directly into a CFO. The Financial Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely production of financial accounts, financial statements, balance sheet management, audit, tax and internal controls and processes. This role is ideal for a newly qualified ACA or ACCA looking to transition from practice into an industry, or a technically strong Financial Accountant already working in manufacturing.

Key responsibilities;

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Corporation tax and personal tax liabilities.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
• Identify areas for improvement in financial processes.
• Ad hoc reports / analysis & projects.

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

• Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Confident communicator.
• Advanced Excel skills .
• Knowledge of ERP systems, consolidation, or accounts preparation software.
