New Job Accounts Assistant / Ledger Clerk £27k Bolton, Office based (1 day remote working pw)
Morson is partnering with a Bolton based large retailer looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance function. The role is based in Bolton and will be an initial 6 month fixed term contract with excellent chance to become permanent.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Accounts Assistant will support and aid the finance function, primarily aiding the purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations whilst completing other finance tasks.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
- Purchase Ledger Invoice - Matching, batching & coding material invoices, admin invoice posting, and filing. - Overseeing weekly payment runs and managing reviews of courier bill charges. - Reviewing bills against product list prices to identify discrepancies. - Managing credit accounts, payment terms, and discount reviews. - Sales Ledger - Credit Control, Chasing and collecting debts, allocating receipts, and cash collection. - Reviewing and managing credit limits for both new and existing customers. - Processing and reviewing refund requests. - Conducting VAT and transaction testing for UK, EU, and USA transactions. - Performing weekly cash and merchant reconciliations. - Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Requirements: - Previous experience in a similar role - Good excel skills - Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Location: Bolton Salary: up to £27,000 per annum Benefits include: Free onsite parking, 20 days holiday + BH and birthday off every year.
