Assistant Accountant

Fin Search are recruiting a newly created, permanent Assistant Accountant role for a highly acquisitive, well performing business based in York

This is a newly created role due to continued growth and strong performance by the business.

The business is operating a hybrid working model - 1 day in the office a week or fortnight.

As an Assistant Accountant, this role will report in to a qualified Finance Manager, responsible for assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts pack to include variance analysis and investigation and working with budget holders to report on spend.

Duties will include, however are not limited to, posting journals to include accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, preparation of the quarterly VAT return, assisting with cashflow forecasting and acting as a point of contact for expense claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a forward thinking studier looking for a month end role relevant to studies with a clear development and progression plan.

The successful candidate will:

• Be studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
• Have worked in a relevant finance role previously and have had some month end experience
• Have strong Excel skills
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
