Mackie Myers have partnered with a leading international think tank based in central London, focused on driving research and policy development to address global challenges.

The Role
As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the organisation s financial sustainability and strategic decision-making. Managing a team of five Finance Business Partners and two Finance Systems specialists, you will play a key role in financial leadership while ensuring compliance with donor and contract requirements.

Main Duties:
  • Lead the production of management accounts, financial forecasts, and commentary, providing strategic insight to senior leadership, committees, and the board.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring timely consolidation and analysis of results.
  • Manage and develop a team of Finance Business Partners and Systems specialists, driving performance and engagement.
  • Ensure the effective use of Microsoft Business Central and other financial systems, driving continuous improvement.
  • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding project pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks and other matters with management and CFO.

The Successful Candidate:
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with strong experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Background in the non-profit sector, with a solid understanding of donor compliance.
  • Manage and continually improve finance system applications effectiveness, impact and outcomes across a range of services and projects.
