The below job description will outline this position of: Senior Accountant

Typically, this person will support the Chief Accountant and provide secure and accurate management and statutory accounting information.

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and timely submission.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications and requirements for the Senior Accountant:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships.
• Well-organized and adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
