Payroll Senior wanted for Abingdon Accountancy Firm
Job Title: Full-time Payroll Senior/Supervisor Reporting to: Client Service Director and Partner of the Abingdon office Our client, a prestigious and historic firm of Chartered Accountants based across 3 offices, currently seek a proactive, experienced and deadline-driven individual, to join their expanding Payroll Department in their Central Abingdon office. The need has arisen to recruit a member to the Payroll Team, who will work alongside a team of experienced Payrollers across the Firm. Responsibilities will include:
Processing payroll and CIS for a portfolio of client payrolls
Responsible for ensuring that BACS payments, RTI and AE submissions are accurate and timely
Working closely with clients to set expectations and resolve payroll issues
Excellent understanding of pension contributions, holiday pay, SSP, SMP and other schemes.
Liaison with HMRC when required
Developing trusted relationships with clients through the provision of excellent service and regular contact
Keeping abreast of new legislation and keeping payroll team up to date
Improving processes where necessary
Candidates will be/have:
Have experience in processing payroll and CIS for multiple clients, in a weekly/fortnightly/monthly capacity
Computer literate in MS Office including Excel to an Intermediate/Advanced Level
Have knowledge of Pegasus Opera, SAGE and Xero Payrolls
Experienced in working in a deadline driven environment, where customer satisfaction is paramount
Excellent communication skills, happy to speak with clients to resolve issues that arise
