Principal Accountant - DSG / Schools

Role - Principal Accountant - Schools/DSG
Contract - 3/4 Month Contract, with view of extension
Location - North of England
Working Style - Hybrid, 2 days per/week in office.

G2 are partnering with a local authority in the North of England to bring in an Interim Principal Accountant to focus on Dedicated Schools Grants and Education.

You will manage the Dedicated Schools Grant budgets, monitor monthly expenditures and any changes/unusual activities.

You will be leading a small team of 4-5 Accountants on a day to day basis that look after Schools Budgets, Dedicated Schools Grants and any financial planning required.

The client are wanting applicants to have the following experience:

- Ideally fully qualified but can accept part qualified or QBE.
- Previous Line Management/Mentoring Experience.
- Strong working experience within DSG/Schools Finance within a Local Government setting.
- Recent Local Authority experience in a similar role.
