Job Opportunity - Closedown Accountant - England

One of my local Government clients are currently on the lookout for an Interim Closedown Accountant to join their team.

Closedown Accountant

Contract Length: 6 Months

Pay Rate: DOE

Days: Ideally X5 days p/w but could also consider part time.

Start Date: ASAP.

Hybrid working: X1-2 days in office per week is their preference.

The role will include:-

• Contributing on closing down their 24/25 accounts.
• Assisting with working papers and feeding them into the statement of accounts.
• Having a strategic overview to closedown by formalising what fits together.
• Income/expenditure.
• Movements in the reserves.
• No Managerial responsibilities but there is a Trainee Accountant who may need some support.

Successful candidates will:

• Have previous experience working on closedown for a local authority - Essential.
• Be a fully Qualified Accountant - Desirable.
