Description: Working for a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds, offering a range of services to clients across various industries. With a focus on delivering exceptional client service, they are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join the team and help them to drive continued success in serving non-audit clients.

The Role:

  • As a Senior Manager, you will take a leading role in managing a portfolio of non-audit clients, primarily focusing on businesses with a turnover between 1 million and the audit threshold. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Statutory Accounts Preparation: Overseeing the preparation and filing of statutory accounts for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Xero Implementation & Support: Assisting clients with the setup and implementation of Xero, providing ongoing support to ensure their financial systems run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Outsourced Financial Controller Service: Providing an outsourced financial controller service, helping clients to manage their financial processes, improve their reporting, and enhance decision-making.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as their go-to advisor for financial matters and ensuring the highest level of service.
  • Team Leadership: Mentoring and supporting junior staff, fostering a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages continuous learning and development.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Strong experience working with non-audit clients, particularly in the preparation of statutory accounts and management of financial processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Xero, with practical experience of setting up and supporting clients using the platform.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and lead a team in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
