Jackson Hogg is supporting a fantastic organisation in Cramlington on the appointment of a Management Accountant.
The main focus of the role is the production of management accounts for review by the Finance Manager and CFO, meeting set deadlines, and to support the Finance Manager and CFO in all areas of the finance function.
Key tasks :
Production of monthly management accounts for UK and Germany
Importing sales and reconciling to ERP system
Dealing with cost of sales and overheads
Posting accruals and prepayments
Support with P&L commentary and understanding variance to budget/forecast
Handle stock journals and associated duty and freight costs
Balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset register
Prepare VAT returns for UK and EU
Support with the year end audit
Education and Qualifications:
Part/Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA is preferable but QBE will be considered
Relevant Experience:
Experience in a similar role preparing management accounts
Ability to use Excel to a high degree of competency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of working in multiple currencies and/or with Sage is desirable
