Job description

Billings Clerks are responsible for ensuring that all sales of a company's products and services are correctly recorded and accurate invoices are issued to clients.

Billings Clerks work within the finance function and liaise closely with sales ledger/accounts receivable and credit control, ensuring that the company receives payments within correct timeframes and that disputes are resolved efficiently.

Billings specialists are often in demand from law firms, where services must be billed regularly and accurately.

Typical billings duties include:

  • Preparing monthly billings cycles and issue accurate invoices.
  • Acting as first point of contact for any billing/invoice queries.

Qualifications

Senior roles which encompass billing responsibilities will be filled by part of fully qualified accountants, depending on the nature of the role.
